Keepsake Heirloom Family / Events Bracelet

I'm the one in the family that takes all the pictures.  I love keeping a visual record of people in my life and the things we do together. I got to thinking about how I don't look at my pictures often, it's too cumbersome getting out the albums or referring to my computer. It occurred to me that I refer to events by when they happened and people can be represented by the month they were born.  I decided that I would combine my love of jewelry with that of family and events!  Walla, the bracelet below was born.

I wanted a bracelet that encompassed my entire immediate family.  It includes my Mother and Father, their 4 children and all of their children and their children in succession. I have 37 family members on my bracelet.  Each person is represented by their birthstone color. The rhinestone spacer beads separate family groups.

This is my bracelet

Faceted Aurora Borealis Crystal Beads With Rhinestone Spacer Beads

The width is about half the size of a pencil so it's light and easy to wear.  I never take it off.  The most amazing thing happened after I made it and put it on - I felt sooo connected to my family in a way that's hard to explain.  I feel closer to them because I can "see" them.

Since this is the first one I made, good thing it was for me!  I learned a lot about how to make a bracelet sturdy for everyday wear.  The closure is silver, I put split rings on both ends to keep them from coming open and me losing my bracelet accidentally.  It's been a fun experience to make, a great way to keep family close and on top of it all it's beautiful!

I would be honored to make one for you. More info here http://www.specialmomentsjewelry.com/Keepsake-Bracelet.html

"Rite Of Passage" Teen Charm Bracelet

I remember when I was a teenager, there was a specific day that I thought about the transition I was going through.  I felt like I had a decision to make.  Should I grow up or not.  I had a lot of conflicting feelings about my changing body and what that meant in relation to everything else in my life.  I also remember feeling distant from my parents.  I just knew that they wouldn't understand what I was going through.

Every day, it seems, someone says teenagers are so different than they used to be. We hear about drug and alcohol use, violence, disrespect, and a myriad of other ills that are affecting our adolescents, including low self-esteem, anger, depression, and family problems. But it seems that little is said about how to create a positive transition from adolescence to adulthood.

Now that I'm older, I know that what I was feeling is typical for teenagers. There is a gradual transition period between being a child growing into adulthood. Many cultures have ceremonies to commemorate this transition thus recognizing and giving permission from the whole family for the teen to mature.  It serves also to open communication between the teen and their parents which is critically needed during this time.

With all of these things and more in mind, I created the"Rite Of Passage" Teen Charm Bracelet.  Any teenage girl would love to receive this and keep it to remember this period in their lives.

The charms used and their meaning are:

Cinderella's carriage - signifying change into a beautiful young lady
a purse - responsibility
a pretty pump heel - beauty
a party dress - an exciting beautiful future
a young lady on the phone - a typical girl this age
Heart with 1st kiss - love
designer blue jeans - fashion sense
perfume - the desire to be her best
In between these charms are stars, musical notes, keys and wings that all have meaning for her.

You can find or purchase this unique  "Rite Of Passage" Teen Charm Bracelet at http://www.specialmomentsjewelry.com/Tweens.html

I hope your teenager makes a happy and smooth transition from youth to adulthood.

"Mom To Be" Keepsake Charm Bracelet

I thought about my 3 pregnancies and wished that I had something special for each one of them. While I was pregnant, I didn't think about such things but I do now, with regrets. 3 times in my life, I carried and nurtured a new little person within me.  Looking back, that's awe inspiring! So, by using  my feelings of regret I designed and made this beautiful keepsake charm bracelet for you to wear throughout your pregnancy and then keep as a reminder of it.

I also add a birthstone for the month the mother conceived and the month she is due.

I love this charm bracelet and am so proud to offer it to you. It would be great as a gift to your wife or a friend or for yourself.  What could be more special?

The charms are:
Image of mother and Dad with their hands on Mom's tummy in the shape of a heart
Image of an ultrasound of baby sucking its thumb in utero
tiny feet
The stork
a pacifier
a rocking horse
Family tree
baby carriage
a little duck
a diaper pin
Made with love charm
lots of hearts sprinkled throughout
faceted clear ab crystals
white faux pearls

You can find and or purchase this beautiful bracelet at http://www.specialmomentsjewelry.com/Expectant-Mom.html

Jewelry, jewelry, jewelry, who doesn't love it!  It's amazing to wear, look at, buy, admire and design. Oh, the many styles and colors, the glitz and glamor. You can dress up or down depending on what jewelry you wear.  How versatile!  I love the many period styles and costume jewelry,  rhinestones, pearls, charms, beads, on and on.  I guess you can tell that I just love everything about jewelry!

In my design efforts, I try to make pieces that help the wearer make a statement, feel something, express themselves, or fill a need. Families are special to me so I also design a lot of jewelry especially for them to bring them closer.

I put a lot of the jewelry I make at www.specialmomentsjewelry.com. You may see pieces here that aren't there simply because I haven't gotten around to putting it up yet.  If there is something that interests you email me.  I sell the jewelry that I make and I also can customize it if asked in most cases.

I look forward to getting to know you.  Your comments are appreciated.
